From the sparkle of Sleigh Ride and the beauty of Canada’s own Bob Buckley’s Fantasy on a Huron Carol to the timeless charm of A Charlie Brown Christmas and Leroy Anderson’s Christmas Festival, this concert perfectly captures the true spirit of the season — warmth, nostalgia, and community.

The 306 (Maple Leaf) Wing (Montreal, QC) is fortunate to be one of the few members of the Royal Canadian Air Force Association to have its own concert band. Formerly associated with the Black Watch Royal Highland Regiment of Canada, the 306 (Maple Leaf) Wing Concert Band is comprised of a diverse group of non-professional musicians from a variety of academic and vocational backgrounds. Our common purpose is to perform music not only for the general public at venues ranging from parks to music festivals, but more specifically for various military and paramilitary organisations in ceremonial events. Since 2009, the band has been directed by 438 Tactical Helicopter Squadron Sergeant (retd) Brent Besner. In 2015, the band embarked on its first tour of Nova Scotia, visiting places such as CFB Greenwood, HMCS Acadia in Cornwallis and Annapolis Royal. A second tour took place in 2017 to PEI and included stops in Moncton, Summerside and Charlottetown. The summer of 2024 saw the 306 (Maple Leaf) Wing Concert Band on tour throughout New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Cape Breton, with concerts presented to Veteran communities, Legion members, as well to the general public. |

The 306 (Maple Leaf) Wing is proud to have received the Carling Red Cap Trophy which is presented to the Wing in the Royal Canadian Air Force Association Quebec Group who had the highest annual increase in membership.
